Finidi George unveiled as Solynta Energy’s Brand Ambassador

Solynta Energy, one of Nigeria’s leading urban rooftop Solar Power company, has signed up its first brand ambassador, legendary footballer Finidi George.

Retired international player, Finidi George, who represented Nigeria at the FIFA World Cups in 1994 and 1998, will be the face of the brand channeling his passion for Nigeria to help solve one of its biggest challenges, the perennial light problem.

Patricia Witter, marketing head, Solynta Energy, said that the company was very excited at the partnership with Finidi George who she described not only as an African legend, but as an outstanding individual who has proven that with vision, integrity and hard work anything is possible.

According to her, the brand ambassador is one who inspires Nigerians across all generations, who have a dream that the country can take great strides in moving forward and reach its full potential through hard work and better access to electricity.

On his part, Uvie Ugono, the Founder and CEO Solynta Energy, affirmed that Finidi, as ambassador, would be an active contributor to the company’s product development and marketing materials.

Founded in 2013 Solynta Energy provides affordable and clean 24-Hours power using solar technology. The company has installed 1.5MW projects across 24 states in Nigeria. It has increased access to solar via its different product offerings that include lease to own financing wherein consumers pay as little as a 21.5% deposit to get installed with full repayment being made across 24 months. Their Solar Home Systems last up to 25 years ensuring that the owner enjoys free power during that period.

The company plans to install 10 million Solar Home Systems across the country by 2030.
