Jonathan acknowledges GE’s contribution to power sector development
President Goodluck Jonathan has commended General Electric (GE) for its commitment to transforming Nigeria’s power sector through various initiatives including investments in gas turbines and partnerships with other stakeholders.
The commendation came at the presidential power reform transactions signing summit which took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja recently.
Other partners of GE whose roles also received presidential commendation include Transcorp, Geometric, Honeywell, Oats Global and Ibom.
The presidential commendation was in acknowledgement of the joint development agreements signed to bring incremental power to the grid.
In his speech at the forum, Jonathan stated, “Today’s event signals a major step forward in the implementation of our power sector roadmap.”
