NDPHC hands over 7 injection substations to Kano Electricity Distribution Company

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) on Wednesday handed over seven newly constructed injection substations to Kano Electricity Distribution Company (DISCO).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the new injection substations were constructed under the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) to improve electricity supply in Kano State.The managing director of NDPHC, James Olotu, who handed over the projects at Challawa injection substation, Kano, said the projects would ensure efficient service delivery.

Olotu said government would continue to partner with private sector to ensure effective power supply in the country. “With the private sector coming in, we hope to see a lot of improvement in the supply of power in the country”. He commended stakeholders’ effort to ensure the success of the privatisation programme

of the power sector.
