Badaru received National President of Magistrate Association of Nigeria

 Jigawa State Governor,  Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has described the election of Magistrate Saidu Safiyanu Umar as  National President of Magistrates Association of Nigeria  as victory to entire Jigawa state people.

He said the victory was a pride to Jigawa state judiciary and manifestation of quality of its manpower in the Administration of justice.

The Governor stated this in Dutse, when the newly elected president visited him in his office 

Governor Badaru therefore congratulated Barrister Umar and urged him to abide by the laws guiding the association adding it will help him give a new direction to the association.

He stressing the need for new leadership to work hard in redefining  the role of lower courts to be included as members of judicial officers in the country

Governor further charged the president to exhibit good leadership style and be worthy ambassador of Jigawa state

Governor Badaru also promised to host the next National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Magistrates Association of Nigeria. 

Earlier in his address, the newly Elected President expressed appreciation with the contribution of the Governor Badaru toward his election 

Barrister Sa’idu Safiyanu said the Governor played a very vital towards his emergence as the newly elected  President of the association through moral and advises which boosted his morale 

He therefore request the Executive Governor to host the next National Executive Council Meeting of the Association in Jigawa State. 

Sa’idu Safiyanu emerged victorious after a fiercely contested election held in Port Harcourt Rivers State. Rivers State where he defeated his main contender Victoria Isiguzo from Imo State with 67 to 25 votes.
