LawPavilion joins league of exhibitors at IBA confab, showcases solicitors’ toolkit
Foremost Nigerian electronic legal research and ICT company, LawPavilion was significantly present at the just concluded annual conference of the International Bar Association in Tokyo.
The software giant, who joined the league of top exhibitors this year, at the event, unveiled from its stable of Electronic Legal Research and Management Solutions, its latest product – a Toolkit for solicitors. “The Solicitors’ Toolkit” (STK) is said to be refreshing and user-friendly software containing all information, particularly required by corporate commercial and business lawyers in Nigeria.
Those who have purchased it acknowledge it to be a veritable tool for potential investor (foreign or local) seeking knowledge of the laws, regulations, guidelines, government policies, agreements and judgments of the courts, particularly judgments of the Federal High Court and National Industrial Court, as they relate to doing business in Nigeria.
Enlightening visitors to the LawPavilion stand, Ope Olugasa, managing director of LawPavilion, explained that the Solicitor’s Toolkit software was a “one product” aggregation of industry relevant solutions, an innovative all-in-one powerful research engine for Solicitors and in-house Counsel.
“It is a comprehensive guide which aims to assist users to be more effective in performing their duties and providing best services with all the required knowledge and information at their disposal. It contains current and correct regulations, guidelines, policies and public notices from various Regulatory Bodies such as the DPR, FIRS, Corporate Affairs Commission, Nigerian Communications Commission, Central Bank of Nigeria, etc.
“It also contains updated and current Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria up to 2014, Reported Cases of the Federal High Court and the National Industrial Court, Annotated Forms and Precedents with relevant Cases, Statutes, Regulations or Guidelines related to such precedent, and a super-fast Search Engine which searches through all the contents to bring back concise and comprehensive results,” he said.
The company’s products are the results of extensive research and deliberations with relevant stakeholders in the legal industry to ensure that their most pressing needs are taken care of through the use of technology, Olugasa maintained.
He further reiterated that LawPavilion’s position as an ICT partner to the Nigerian legal industry by developing effective and enhanced solutions for practitioners, their capacity as Judges, advocate or solicitor.

The company only recently released Case Management and Court Management Solutions (software) into the legal market for all strata of practitioners, so that lawyers and judges would have access to all records of their cases on selected mobile devices, thereby eliminating the inability to work due to absence from the office or court.
The managing director also hinted that the company was already in talks with several device manufacturers to introduce and offer affordable packages to enable legal practitioners purchase ICT devices for their official and personal use; thereby promoting the adoption of ICT by the entire legal industry in Nigeria.
Participants from Nigeria at the 2014 IBA conference lauded LawPavilion’s showcase at the event, noting that it was a good way for the country to highlight its competence and versatility in international legal practice.
