Legal practitioners to discuss business processes at SBL-CAC workshop today
Stakeholders in law and business will meet today at a workshop organised by the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), in collaboration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to deliberate on issues vital to the development of businesses and investments in Nigeria.
The event scheduled to hold at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi is geared towards promoting the delivery of qualitative business services in Nigeria in line with the objectives of the NBA Section on Business law.
The programme is open to members of the section and other legal practitioners and will provide an opportunity for attendees to have first-hand interactions with the management of the commission while deliberating on key developments and processes at the CAC.
The CAC will use the medium to conduct accreditation and registration exercise for participants as well as update data of already registered participants with their recent contact details. It will also showcase and demonstrate its on-line business registration portal and other ICT-related matters, which are very fundamental to business practices in Nigeria.
A designated desk manned by CAC staff will be open through out the workshop. Participants, who want to take advantage of the availability of the Online Portal to conduct business with the CAC, will have an opportunity to do so.
The Section on Business Law through its committees and strategic partnerships with government parastatals and/or legislative bodies organises regular enlightenment programmes for business and commercial lawyers, with a view to promoting business concerns in Nigeria.
The Section under its current administration is focused on promoting the exchange of views and information among members and other like-minded bodies as to laws, practices and procedures affecting members, locally and internationally.
Admission for this event is free, but participants must be preregistered.
