OA&A gets new head of litigation
Foremost maritime and commercial law firm, Olisa Agbakoba and Associates (OA&A) has appointed Mr. Babatunde Lot Ogungbamila, as the head of the firm’s Litigation practice.
Ogungbamila whose elevation took effect in September 2013, was until his appointment a Senior Associate of the firm. Prior to joining Olisa Agbakoba & Associates, he had a brief stint with J.M Lidani & Co. He was a Senior Counsel with Sam Ogungbamila & Co. Babatunde was also a legal Research Assistant and Energy Law Consultant to Christ Church Solicitors (UK). He came back to Nigeria in 2011 to join Tope Adebayo LLP as a Partner in charge of specialized transaction from where he joined the firm.
The firm’s decision was based on a move to further strengthen its corporate objectives of delivering quality legal services to a wide range of clients.
Babatunde, who has a special bias for Mineral and Petroleum law and Project Finance, holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Taxation and Finance from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) University of Dundee in 2009.
