The event, which took place on Friday 25th October 2013 at the High Court of Justice, Abeokuta, Ogun State was well attended. Participants were taken through the automation of Cause List, Digital Voice Recording of Proceedings, Task List Management, Document Management, Performance Evaluation Reporting and Monitoring, among numerous other features of the Award winning software.
Justice Olopade, commending the LawPavilion team, said the training has been wonderful and impactful and will help Judges write their judgments faster. In her words “An interesting training worth its while. I do recommend this to other courts in Nigeria” She added further “We are going beyond just reading out cases towards efficient Case Management, Court Management, how we can use the LawPavilion software to work better in our courts and for our Secretaries also to efficiently produce whatever we do in court. Therefore we are also going to organise similar trainings by the LawPavilion team for our support staff in the coming week”
In the same vein, Justice Mobolaji Ojo, Chairman ICT committee of Ogun State Judiciary, stated that “the initiative will definitely enhance the Justice delivery in Nigeria, adding that with the aid of the LawPavilion software you do not need to adjourn ruling for weeks or for months because you want to go and conduct research, you could do what is called bench ruling with the aid of the software on your device. I’ve been using the LawPavilion for a long time and it’s been quite commendable”
Ope Olugasa, Managing Director of LawPavilion mentioned that the Secretaries and Registrars will be trained soon on the LawPavilion Case Management System, to ensure full compliance with the Chief Judge’s mandate of effectively computerizing the judiciary for better productivity.
Justice Olopade thanked the Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun for his support, all the Judges and the entire LawPavilion team.
