There will also be a Corporate Counsels’ session, which will provide an opportunity for legal practitioners to network with General Counsel and other in-house counsel.
As legal systems and the practice of law continue to evolve globally, signifying a growth in opportunities and challenges, there is no better forum for industry stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities that present themselves at a time like this. The Conference promises a distinguished faculty of knowledgeable speakers, thought leaders, panelists and other resource persons from within Nigeria and, indeed, internationally who will discuss thought provoking topics centered around the theme.
The Annual Business Law conference organised by the NBA Section on Business Law (SBL), seeks to create an environment for business lawyers within and outside Nigeria to network and engage on issues relevant to their fields and to establish a thriving relationship between the business community and government institutions. It brings together some of the best policy formulators regulatory, financial, business and legal minds at the yearly event.
Focused on specialized areas of commercial law practice with a view to addressing issues from different sectors of the Nigerian economy, the NBA-SBL has 18 sector-based committees, with three strategic committees to drive the vision of the Section.
Through its committees and strategic partnerships with government parastatals and/or legislative bodies, the section organises regular workshops, seminars and training programmes for members, with a view to promoting commercial and business interests in Nigeria.
This is fundamental to the objectives of the SBL. As business advisors, one of the key functions of the SBL Council and its members, is to ensure that businesses thrive in this environment.
