SBL, in-house lawyers parley in Lagos today

The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL) will today play host to an exclusive gathering of in-house lawyers in Lagos.

The event, which will be attended by leading Corporate/General Counsel from various organisations across Nigeria, is aimed at fostering the relationship between in-house and external lawyers with a view to promoting business practices and commercial law in Nigeria.

The 2015 Corporate Counsel Dinner was well attended by legal heads and corporate counsel from top organisations with attendees overwhelmingly requesting similar events in future.

The occasion also afforded the SBL Council and Committees heads, the opportunity to engage in robust, constructive and positive exchange of ideas with in-house counsel on a variety of issues aimed at ensuring a closer collaboration with them and enhancing the SBL’s value delivery.

The Section on Business Law is the specialist arm of the Nigerian Bar Association, which engenders the development of commercial law and specialised legal practice in Nigeria. Its annual events seek to create a business friendly environment for lawyers while establishing a thriving relationship between the business community and government institutions.
