SBL training School holds inaugural outing in Lagos
The Training Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Section on Business Law (SBL), held its inaugural training in Lagos recently.
The event, which took place at DCS Place (Detail Commercial Solicitors), was targeted at young and level lawyers with the focus on “Improving Law Office Productivity Using Microsoft Applications.”
The Curriculum was structured to ensure that the dimension of the cognitive process is taken into consideration and that relevant skills are readily deployed as situations require. To this end, the course had particular relevance to lawyers’ daily tasks productivity.
The SBL Training Committee, set up early this year by the Council of Section on Business Law (SBL) is headed by Dr. ‘Deoye Adefulu and the school worked in conjunction with Management Transformation Limited (MT), a reputed strategy, business management, organisational and human capital consultant to put the training together.
The committee’s next outing is in May when it would hold a seminar titled “Understanding the basics of reviewing a Loan Facility Agreement.” The focus of the course will be the review of key clauses in a Loan Facility Agreement with emphasis on Representations and Warranties; Undertakings; and Events of Default.
The Chair of the NBA Section on Business Law was in attendance to open the inaugural training in Lagos last week.
