NACCIMA appoints Cobham as new DG

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has appointed Emmanuel Cobham as its substantive director-general. He replaces John Isemede, immediate past DG of the association.

Cobham has served as a correspondent on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and served four different military administrators and a civilian governor of Cross River State as chief press secretary/director of press affairs between 1992 and 1999.

He worked briefly at the African Union Commission (AU) as legal officer in the Security Arrangements and Ceasefire Commission and has held several other positions.
Cobham attended Apapa Baptist Primary School, Lagos; Gaskiya College, Cardoso, Lagos; Community Secondary School, Ugep; University of Lagos (UNILAG), and University of Calabar (UNICAL).

He also attended Imo State University (IMSU); Television College, Jos, and the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos. He holds a certificate in entrepreneurship development from the Central Bank Entrepreneurship Development Centre Calabar and is a member of several organisations and associations such as the Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Institute of

Management (NIM), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Nigerian Union of Journalists, and the Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (IPMN).
He is a 1988 Rotary Foundation Scholar to the USA and has several distinguished service awards in the course of his career.
