The new permanent residents began to get comfortable in their new home and as they did so, it became impossible to hide their true selves. Those that were vile displayed all that they lacked in character, those that were dirty exuded filth in everything that they did and those that were uncouth spoke carelessly, causing chaos in the town. Ipa could not believe her eyes for she had never experienced such before. There was an outcry from the old citizens of Ipa that something should be done about it, but on her own Ipa could do nothing. So she called on the other towns to come and take back their residents. When the other towns saw what was going on, they were pleased that their plan did not fail after all and they refused to lift a finger to Ipa’s aid.

What had been a glorious destination fast became a waste land as all the old residents abandoned Ipa and moved to the other towns. Tourists no longer came, for there was no more pure healing air and no cool breeze. All that existed was a dirty and chaotic town.

Ipa was very sad because she couldn’t help the situation. So she went to All Wise to tell him all that had been going on. Of course, All Wise was aware. In fact, he knew what all the other towns had done but had chosen to stay silent until they were wise enough to come to him for help.

All Wise never picked sides regardless of who reported first in a dispute. He knew Ipa had learnt his lesson about pride and he was going to sort him out. However, the other towns needed to learn that there were dire consequences for taking matters into their hands. All Wise went on to make all the residents in all the towns seven times worse than those that had been sent to Ipa. The towns were all in utter confusion because in all their existence, they had never seen such animalistic behaviour from their citizens. They looked to one another for help, but they could all do nothing until they jointly agreed that it was only All Wise that could help.

When they got to All Wise, they saw Ipa there. They expected her to gloat at their misfortune, but instead she began to apologise for her pride and mean behaviour in the past. Indeed, they were surprised and immediately began to apologise for their own wickedness to Ipa, promising to support one another and live in harmony thereafter.

All Wise smiled as both the towns and Ipa had realised their folly and he knew that they would never again be victims of pride and jealousy.
