Advertange Media redefines outdoor ad with LED mobile billboards

Determined to offer clients value and kindle their engagement with consumers across cities, Advertange Media Services has procured some two-face LED mobile electronic billboards in Nigeria’s outdoor advertising market.

The elevatable mobile electronic big screen billboards come with special features such as sight and sound, five watts speakers, and bigger screens. They can serve various purposes such as advertisement displays on mobile or static modes, concerts, brand launching/activations simultaneously in different cities, campaigns and streaming of football matches.

Unveiling the advertising platform, Akin Adelegan, CEO of the agency, who acknowledged other mobile billboards in the country, said “ours comes in two different versions; one side is LED and the other side is a scroller. That means, one side is showing digital screen, the other side is scrolling messages about the brand. It is backlight scroller.”

He told BusinessDay that Advertange also had other types with both sides as LED. They come with screamer lines, which tell you more about a product exhibited, he said.

Adelegan, who stated the advantages of mobile LED billboards over the static boards, said he was inspired by the determination to create platforms that would allow clients engage with their consumers, especially in this competitive market.

Stating that while brands are navigating to LED as it is catching consumers attention, he said LED billboards cannot be in all locations and “that is why we introduced mobile LED platforms. They are big screens and they can be taken everywhere such as shops, markets, occasions.

“Hitherto, what we have is the static LED, but the challenge with those ones is that they are stuck in permanent locations. The challenge is that it is not every road you can mount LED billboard. It is restricted to some highways and the cost of even building and constructing them, getting approval from ministry of environment, LASAA and FERMA is rigorous.”

He described the LED mobilie advertising platform as a child of necessity because the industry was evolving.

According to him, the outdoor advertising business is trending towards LED all over the world. “People are fed up of just seeing that static billboard. They want something with visuals, something that can retain their attention,” he said.

Adelegan, who said his dream was to have a billboard in every state capital in Nigeria, said “we can display products advertisement simultaneously in all the big boards at the same time to create bigger effect.”

For him, the mobile billboard is better than advertisement on commercial vehicles as the billboards show brightly in the night against commercial adverts that dim as night comes.
