Bloomberg TV Africa launches new business programmes on DStv 411

Bloomberg TV Africa, a partnership between Bloomberg Television, a leading supplier of global business and financial news video content and Optima Media Group (OMG), a Lagos-based media company, has launched two new business programmes. It also announced the launch of additional two programmes that will air from early 2014 on Bloomberg Television on DStv channel 411.

One of the programmes, Africa Business Weekly reviews the most important business, economic and political stories and their impact across the continent. Presented by Boason Omofaye and Uche Okoronkwo from Lagos and London, and Eleni Giokos from Johannesburg, they are joined by leading experts to analyse the markets, debate the African agenda and discuss key investments, governance and economic commitments. There’s also a weekly interactive poll and online forum to enable viewers to join the discussion.

Riz Khan’s Q&A is a weekly discussion and debate show around leading contemporary issues featuring high-profile guests from Africa and around the world. Presented by international broadcaster Riz Khan, the series launched featuring President Joyce Banda of Malawi.

Celebrating the most fearless, competitive and visionary African women of our time, African Women to Watch explores the women working hard to close the gender gap. We gain exclusive access to female leaders who are shaping the continent’s social, political and economic landscape. Presenter Uche Okoronkwo takes you beyond the profiles and professional careers to share in guest’s personal stories of triumph, failure and determination to succeed.

The African continent is rich in energy and natural resources, yet almost half the region is facing an energy crisis. Presented by Boason Omofaye, The Africa Energy Report investigates how it can harness its full potential while dealing with the demands of a growing economy.
