Bobo introduces reward scheme to unveil talent in children

In an effort to encourage team bonding, competitive spirit and encourage talents among primary school children, Bobo Food and Beverages Limited (BFBL) has announced the brand’s commencement of an annual musical competition. The competition tagged “Bobo kids with voices” is designed to reward children who are the major consumers of the brand and will be activated in Lagos State.

The theme of this year’s edition is ‘the Nigeria of my dreams.’ Explaining the rationale behind the choice of the theme, Lawrence Chimezie, general manager, sales and marketing, BFBL, said

“children are the future of the country, it is important for them to have an attitude of patriotism and a sense of belonging.”

He went on to state that it was very important to start building team spirit in the minds of the young generation as this will go a long way in encouraging unity as well as develop their musical talent, saying “Bobo kids with voices are an initiative aimed at growing the musical talent of primary school children as well as teaching them the beauty of teamwork. Lagos is the test location for the project and will afterwards be taken to other parts of the country.”

Bobo kids with voices is a musical competition where schools enrol their pupils between the ages of five and 11 years, and each participating school is to enrol a minimum of five and a maximum of 10 pupils. Explaining the mechanics of the competition, the marketing manager, Eric Ewhubare Birhiray noted that schools were to obtain the entry forms from their local education secretaries or the brand’s website and submit with 200 wraps of the 200ml size of Bobo and a CD/tape of their recorded song.
