CSR: Promasidor to engage other firms on Isolo development

Keith Richards, managing director, Promasidor, maker of Cowbell, has promised the Isolo community in Lagos that his company would engage other private organisations within the community on how to collectively embark on bigger projects for the community.

Richards, who spoke recently when the Osolo of Isolo, Kabiru Agbabiaka Alani paid him a courtesy call, said Promasidor would spearhead a discussion with the traditional leadership and other companies to see what “we can do together with everybody’s contribution to help the community,” soliciting the traditional ruler’s co-operation in this regard.

According to him, Promasidor values its relationship with Isolo traditional leadership as he promised to complete the water treatment plant the company embarked on for the community.

Responding to request for scholarship and employment for indigents of the community, Richards who was crowned as a cabinet member of the traditional ruler, said the company would continue to try to provide employment, and promised the traditional ruler that he would immediately consider IT graduates.

“We will continue to be mindful of our responsibility to the community. We can dialogue on how we can engage some students of the community on scholarships,” the managing director said, who noted that the company believed in Nigeria would continue to expand as this would also generate employment for Nigerians.

Speaking on painting buildings in the community in the colours of Promasidor, he reminded the traditional ruler that the staff had been arrested by the state government for similar actions.

The traditional ruler commended Richards for the construction of water treatment plant the community, saying it was because of the existing cordial relationship between the community and the company that convinced him to re-name the road along Promasidor company ‘Cowbell Road.’
