Media Reach partners Google on brand marketing
Media Reach OMD, an independent media specialist, focused on developing and providing media planning has partnered Google Nigeria, one of the fast growing search engines, to create more media reach for its brands and clients.
The partnership is also to showcase the power of technology and how OMD brands can take advantage of the power of digital to connect with the consumers. Speaking on the partnership, Patrick Gomes, Chief Digital Officer, Media Reach OMD explained that there is a better place for online and offline and the two complement one another, adding that brands need to look at a holistic strategy that integrates online and offline
According to him, “The section today is about connected consumers, connected customers, connected people. We are connected to the internet with our devices and we have over 14million users of mobile phones. It is about how we can leverage that connection.”
He further explained that there is a huge potential for growth, as about 56million people access YouTube on a daily basis and about 75% have access to YouTube on their mobile devices.
“The digital platform is definitely for now because Google is trying to invest a lot of money and trying to make people use more and more data. Among the people who have mobile phones, 25% of them have smart phones.”
He stressed that the partnership, is about evolving its relationship with its clients and promises to be a lasting one that will benefit both brands and clients.
Juliet Ehimuan Chiazor, Country Manager Google Nigeria said Google believes very much in the power of technology and technological innovation, which is seen worldwide and in Nigeria.
Chiazor explained that brands can do a better job of catching up and part of which is awareness and people are yet to understand how they can integrate digital into their marketing strategy.
