MultiChoice wins Most Improved Company Award at the SERAs 2016
MultiChoicehas been awarded the ‘Most Improved Company’ at the just concluded Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility Awards (SERAs) for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Lagos. This is in recognition of the company’s unwavering support and commitment to the growth of entrepreneurial enterprise, experiential quality education, entrenching quality standards in the film and media industries as well as engagement of teeming youth to sports development and good health.
Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe in a statement expressed his delight at the recognition saying that MultiChoice’s investment in Nigeria in education, health, media, sports and economic empowerment, are all aimed at enriching lives and inspiring a greater future. He revealed that additional socially impactful projects were in the pipeline for 2017as the company is committed to continuously building an inclusive and sustainable business.
Member of the Board of Trustees, Greg Amaihwe said SERAs was impressed by the strides that MultiChoice is making in improving the standard of education through the MultiChoice Resource Centre (MRC) as well as the MultiChoice Creative Teachers’ Award (MCTA).
The Award ceremony was well attended by Captains of Industries, top Government officials both from Nigeria and other African countries. A total of thirty awards were won in different categories from the over seventy entries received by organizations and individuals across Africa working towards the growth of sustainable development in the continent. The SERAs is the foremost CSR Awards platform on the African continent committed to recognizing and rewarding organizations as well as individuals who are doing good for the communities where they are doing business and contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
