OYSAA rewarded for best practice

It was double honour and joy for Yinka Adepoju, director-general, Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) when he picked up two professional awards on behalf of the state at Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos.

The event, which was put together by Phillip Omnicom, a team of highly influential and respected brand and business professionals with the support of International Brand Association and HSBS Group, an event marketing company, adjudged the OYSAA as the best out-of-home advertising regulatory agency in Nigeria with a ‘Platinum Advertisement Award of Excellence,’ while Adepoju was presented the ‘Distinguished Excellence Award’ as ‘Best out-of-home Regulatory Agency Chief Executive Officer in Nigeria.’

Cammil Chineme, chairman, award organising committee, in his welcome address, said the ceremony, which is the third annual edition of Nigeria Brands Awards, was put together to appreciate the professional prowess of distinguished brand practitioners and companies that have exhibited uncommon innovation, professionalism, dynamism and excellence in the promotion of brands to super brands in Nigeria.

The annual event is geared towards encouraging greater creativity and more importantly acknowledging and applauding effective marketing strategy and tools that deliver results.

In his own reaction, Adepoju, a fellow of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, gave God thanks, appreciating in no small measure the organisers and dedicated the awards to the Governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi, whose initiative gave birth to the fast-growing regulatory agency 14 months ago. He used the opportunity to say a big thank you to his professional colleagues whose support, co-operation and show of love made the agency’s modest achievements so far recorded possible, asserting that the awards will inspire him to do more for the agency in particular and the state in general.
