Search for 7th edition of IIDA heroes intensifies

The search for would-be heroes of the seventh edition of the Indomie Independence Day Awards (IIDA) is currently gathering momentum. The special search teams commissioned for the purpose are now strategically spread across the key states of the country in search of the heroes.

The search, as mapped out by the company, is expected to cover 10 states and its environs, out of the 36 states in Nigeria as well as the Federal Capital Territory, which is usually the norm as its always selected in a rotational manner that ensures a comprehensive coverage of the six geo-political zones of the federation, giving the award a true national outlook.

At the moment, work is ongoing and efforts are starting to pay off, as several stories have so far been gathered from the states selected for this year’s edition of the IIDA award.

The award is part of the corporate social responsibility initiative of Dufil Prima Foods, maker of Indomie instant noodles, aimed at recognising and celebrating the unique acts of bravery of children from ages 15 years and below.

While giving details of progress made so far, the head of the search team from Daalberto Ideas and Solutions Limited, Afolabi Albert, said “as it stands, our search for heroes of the 7th edition is now in top gear and our efforts are beginning to pay ample dividend as we have continued to be overwhelmed with numerous stories, many of which can easily lay claim to the top three spots in contention for the awards.

“Since the inception of the Indomie Independence Day Heroes Award in 2008, 10 states out of the 36 states in Nigeria as well as the Federal Capital Territory are usually selected in a rotational manner that will ensure we cover the six geo-political zones of the federation, giving the award a true national outlook.”
