Unilever, Shoprite reward consumers

Unilever Nigeria plc in partnership with Shoprite has given out a car, a deep freezer and a washing machine to three of its top winners across the seven Shoprite stores who emerged winners after the promo that lasted from October 15 to November 14, 2013.

During the one month promo, customers that bought N1000 worth of products and above were given gifts as well as raffle tickets to qualify for the raffle draw. The raffle tickets were given across the seven Shoprite stores in the country.

Tade Oke-Egbe, modern trade manager, Unilever, said the event was an exciting shopping experience as it gave the customers an opportunity to win something for shopping with Shoprite and Unilever.

“We have done business with Shoprite since the inception of Shoprite. We are always looking for a way to give consumers better quality goods and this for us is a way of celebrating the Nigerian Shoprite, which is why the programmes is called Unilever and Shoprite celebration,” Tade said.

He also disclosed that some draws had been run in each of the Shoprite stores across the country to reward people there.

Taiwo Oluwabamise, one of the winners, expressed her gratitude to Unilever and Shoprite and prayed God continues to uplift the both organisations, saying “now I know this promo is true because I bought something of N2000 and was surprised when I was called upon to collect the gift.”

The winner of the car was Alli Zainab from Ibadan, Zacious from Ibadan emerged the second and was given a deep freezer and Odi from Lokogoma was the third winner, who was given a washing machine.

While the event was on, the customers that came to shop were asked questions and rewarded with various consolation prizes such as detergents, bar soap, butter, among others.
