Winners of blank-cheque commend Legend for exciting Dubai experience

The first set of winners in the ongoing Legend Real Deal National Consumer Promotion have returned to Nigeria after a three-day tour of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The seven lucky winners that emerged through an electronic raffle draw include: Uchechukwu Dennis Chukwu from Ebonyi State, Nwabuoke Ikechukwu Ambrose from Delta State, Oluwabusuyi Kelvin Olubusuyi from Ekiti State, and Solomon Okoro Ike from Owerri, Imo State.

Others are John Akoji from Abuja, the Federal Capital City, as well as Temitope Ogunyemi and Austin Nwakaife, both from Lagos State.

The star prize of the ongoing promotion is the unique shopping experience, whereby 25 lucky consumers of the Legend brand are taken to Dubai, for shopping.

The seven lucky consumers who travelled to Dubai on May 17, returned to Lagos May 20, 2013. They left Nigeria empty handed, but returned to the country with a luggage full of shopped items such as LED TV, projectors, cameras, etc.

According to the rules of the promo, each winner had only one minute, during which he can take as many items of his choice as possible, as long as it does not go above the value of N1 million. This first phase of the shopping experience took place at Deira City Mall, Dubai.

Speaking with journalists on his experience, Temitope Ogunyemi attributed his emergence as a winner to luck.

Ogunyemi, who was the first to shop for N1 million in Dubai, stated that the he was able to amass quite a number of items including a ‘42’ Inch LG LED TV, a ‘32’ inch Toshiba LED TV, a projector, and a couple of other expensive items.

Another lucky consumer, Austin Nwakaife had never stepped outside the shores of Nigeria before the Dubai trip.

He noted:“I come from a poor background and I have never been outside Nigeria before. I don’t even have an international passport. Legend Extra Stout made it possible to get my first international passport.

They just told me to come to Lagos and the international passport and visa documents were possessed in a very short time.
