CIPM Nigeria host entrepreneurship, career fair in Abuja
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) will on Thursday April 11, 2013, host Entrepreneurship/Career Fair in Abuja. CIPM, which is the nation’s apex institute responsible for regulating the practice of human resource management in Nigeria, is making the fair open to prospective entrepreneurs, job seekers and the unemployed. This programme with the
theme: From Job Seeking to Job Creation, would hold at the National Centre for Women Development, Tafawa Balewa Street, CBD, Garki, Abuja.
According to a statement issued by the institute, the fair is aimed at “changing the orientation of the people from job seeking to job creation; creating awareness of entrepreneurship opportunities in various sectors of the Nigerian economy and sensitising participants on strategies to boost their employability.”
Sunday Adeyemi, registrar/CEO of the institute, said the forthcoming fair, the second in the series, “is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship by providing a platform for potential entrepreneurs and job seekers to access information, opportunities and resources to start small businesses, become self employed and create jobs.”
