CKF holds first Musical Award for Excellence
The Christopher Kolade Foundation (CKF) is set to hold its Musical Excellence Awards ceremony tomorrow.
The event, which will take place at the Agip Hall of Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, is aimed at the recognition of individual achievement, innovation, and creativity in the field of music. Awardees made up of talented music students will be rewarded with prizes to encourage them in a career in the field of music and to also motivate other students towards creativity and excellence.
Founded in 1997, as a platform through which its founder, Christopher Kolade, makes contributions to the development of Nigeria, CKF focuses on education as its key strategic initiative with its founder’s love for music driving the award ceremony.
Five outstanding university-level students who have achieved exceptional levels of success and have demonstrated outstanding musical merit and promise have been selected for the 2015 awards. Awardees will each receive a N250, 000 cash gift which can be used towards advanced studies in music, in the pursuit of a professional career in music or other activities that can facilitate their professional advancement. This year’s awardees will be announced at the event.
