Clarke Energy Nigeria unveils power solutions
Clarke Energy Nigeria, a company involved in the engineering, installation and maintenance of gas and diesel engines and accessories, and a distributor and service provider for GE Jenbacher engines, last Tuesday, the 18th of August unveiled its growing capacity to deliver efficient power solutions to officials of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the media.
Incorporated in 2006, the company which is part of the Clarke Energy group has supplied over 70 power engines providing over 300 mega watts of power in Nigeria. Patrick Nzekwe, general manager, Clarke Energy Nigeria revealed that the company’s operations has grown tremendously in the last nine years as clientele has spread across Lagos, Agbara, Otta, Ajaokuta, Aba, Port-Harcourt, Abeokuta, Benin and Abakiliki, with staff number risen up to 80, among which are 45 engineers.
The vision of Clarke Energy Nigeria, according to Nzekwe is to become the “number one company in gas utilization and management” in Nigeria. Notable among its clientele in Nigeria are Nigeria Flour Mills group, Standard Flour Mills, Guiness Nigeria Plc, Lagos state Government(Akute power plant), and Nestle plc.
Ademola Olorunfemi, president, Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), with his team of NSE officials expressed satisfaction over the power solutions being provided by Clarke Energy Nigeria, and its contribution to the growth of the engineering profession in the country, as over 50 per cent of its staff are engineers.
Wale Yusuff, sales manager, Clarke Energy Nigeria says GE Jenbacher gas engines are the “only originally designed gas engines in the world”, they are reputed to be efficient, cost effective and reliable. He confirms that repeat orders from the company’s clients in the country are a testimony not only to the efficiency of the engines provided but also of the company’s total qualitative service culture.
