Compass Consulting: hub of trade and investment promotion

In an era where firms are occupied with activities that contribute little or nothing to the Net National Product (NNP) of the country, Compass Consulting has over the past six years concentrated in promoting Nigerian products in other countries and attracting foreign companies to the Nigerian market.

Situated along Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos, Compass Consulting has enabled Nigerian manufacturers to find markets for their products in other countries, build better business plans and access finance.

Between 2008 and 2010, it organized three trade missions alongside the United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI), Nigerian Export Import (NEXIM) Bank and Bank of Industry (BOI). In April this year it took some Nigerian manufacturers for a trade exhibition in Trinidad and Tobago and repeated this same feat in July and August, taking officials of Osun State along. In August the firm also organised trade visit for the United States company, McBride Research Laboratories, pioneer company in the black hair and beauty industry.

It has also held five successful exhibitions in Nigeria and supported fifty UK and Nigerian companies in 2007; seventy UK and Nigerian companies in 2008; eighty UK and Nigerian companies in 2009, and seventy UK and Nigerian companies in 2010.

Through exhibitions, Compass promotes trade, investment and global partnerships, building a platform for showcasing both indigenous and foreign companies. Some of the foreign investors have settled into the Nigerian economy.

On November 7, Compass Consulting at its 6th Enterprise Exhibition presented the Launch of Fosters Traditional Foods UK Ltd at Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lagos. During the event, Fosters Traditional Foods UK exhibited high quality bakery products such as John Lusty, Langdale, Boulevard, Fudge Tree, Chambers Candy Co, among others.

The exhibition attracted hoteliers, event companies, bakers, bankers, among others.
