FSD engages MSMEs on capacity building for growth
Foundation for Skills Development (FSD) has concluded plans to equip the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) with information that will enable them grow their businesses. The organisation intends to achieve this by organising a seminar for women scheduled to hold at the MAN House, Ikeja, Lagos, on May 9.
A press release issued by Omowale Ogunrinde, its executive director, states that the purpose of the seminar is to equip small business owners, particularly women, with information to grow their businesses, noting it will help more women connect with available resources in the public and private sectors of the economy.
FSD is partnering the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), the United States Embassy, UPS, Field of Skills and Dreams, VTE Academy and other organisations on the seminar.
“MSME seminar has impacted several business owners across the country positively with amazing success stories. The seminars feature successful business owners telling their personal growth stories, life coaches, business training consultants and government agencies offering counselling sessions,” she says.
Speakers at the session to include Father Godfrey Nzamujo, president, Songhai Centre; Funke Opeke, managing director/CEO, MainOne Cable, and Robin Sanders, former US ambassador to Nigeria. The seminar will focus on Maximising Cash Flow and Accessing Available Incentives for Small Scale Business Owners.
