Kaduna, PAN, Verdant Zeal host ‘innovention’ round table for SMEs
Verdant Zeal, a marketing communications firm, has partnered Kaduna State government and PAN Nigeria to hold its first ‘innovention’ round table for SMEs and start-up entrepreneurs.
The theme of the maiden edition is, ‘How Innovation Drives Entrepreneurship, The Case for SMEs and Start-Ups’.
The innovention round table is propelled by the success achieved with the annual Innovation Series, which has held since 2012 but with a renewed vision to impact key economic hubs across Nigeria.
Scheduled to hold in Kaduna State, a key economic hub in Northern Nigeria, the event will create a free platform for all employers of labour, e-commerce solopreneurs and SMEs to appreciate the place of innovation in business growth.
Speaking on the new initiative, Tunji Olugbodi, executive vice chairman, Verdant Zeal Group and event convener, noted that for the last six years, Verdant Zeal has convened the Innovation Series, a corporate social responsibility initiative instituted in 2012 to examine the development of Africa, discuss the Nigerian project as well as pinpoint opportunities for development and growth within the continent.
Patrons from both the public and private sectors have found it a strong route to engage in stimulating but pragmatic conversations and discourse that challenges the status quo. The Innovention Series, he added, has expanded its offerings for a richer and more diverse audience who want to practically evaluate issues experienced by key economic hubs in Nigeria and come up with lasting workable solutions.
Scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Kaduna, the event which will be chaired by Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar, chairman, Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, will have Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai as a special guest and the keynote address will be delivered by Ibrahim Boyi, managing director, PAN Nigeria.
The event will be moderated by Isaac Bare, general manager, Supreme 96.1FM, Kaduna.
Other panel discussants at the event include Laoye Jaiyeola, chief executive officer, Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG); Philomena Zamani-Henry, founder/CEO, Zamani Foundation, and Kabir Farida Mohammed, chief executive officer of Online Training and Awareness Campaign (OTRAC).
