Olagbaiye Babafemi

Olagbaiye is the MD/CEO of ONE Music Networks Limited. A company he created in 2010 launching from Nigeria and now broadcasting in over 12 countries globally reaching approximately 4.6 million viewers.

He was previously the Operations and Brand manager West Africa MTV Networks Africa a company he worked with for five years from the launch of the business.

As operations manager he executed some of the biggest initiative of MTV Networks Africa including the MAMA awards, Advance warning, VJ Search, making the video with Shell. He managed the commercial and brand development of MTV Africa in West Africa with the region being the most commercially and influence viable for four of the five years he was there turning over averagely 11million USD a year.

He was a vital instrument in the development of the Nigerian music industry by creating and enforcing standards in Video production making Nigeria the second best producing country in Africa for music videos till date. Prior to joining MTV, He was CEO of New Temple limited who was exclusive consultants to Silverbird group in re strategizing their radio stations across Nigeria, hiring and training new staff, developing business plans for Silverbird TV and implementing the plans including the Free to Air channel launch.

He was part of the initial strategy team for Hi Media and developed the business plan and operations strategy for the Pay TV platform. He started Dragonfly production in 2010 a production company with focus on Media Productions, TV Content, Advertising, Live event production, Music Videos, Still and Motion Graphics.

Femi Olagbaiye was nominated as a Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Future Awards in 2008. Though he didn’t win the award, it’s easy to see why he was one of the nominees. His desire for high quality has quickly earned him a place as a well-respected expert in the Media, Broadcasting and Entertainment industry.

Babafemi studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Lagos, is 34 Years old, married to the love of his life Mrs. Lois Olagbaiye a successful interior Designer, and an 18 Month old Son.
