Over 60 exhibitors and 3000 visitors to attend 2015 Securex West Africa

The 2015 Securex West Africa, an annual trade and consumer event that brings together notable security entrepreneurs, stakeholders and consumers is coming up in Lagos at the Eko Hotel and Convention Centre on March 24-25. This year’s event would attract over 60 exhibitors, up to 3000 visitors and distinguished speakers for the Seminar sessions, as revealed by Tori Abiola, the managing director of Montgomery West Africa – the  event’s organising company.

Securex West Africa is reputed to be the most valuable, premier security and safety platform in West Africa. The event provides a unique opportunity for security professionals to engage with leading commercial, homeland and cyber security, fire protection and safety product and service providers, creating the ideal platform for exhibitors to showcase their brands to a market that is ready to source the best from around the globe. This year’s Securex West Africa will showcase products, services, networking opportunities and seminars.

In a country with growing concerns on insecurity across public, commercial and private spaces, and evolving security threats in the cyber space as transactions go cashless, Securex West Africa is a timely event providing good public value. Tori Abiola, an accomplished event professional, with valuable experiences in Europe, South Africa and other major African markets sees so much value in bringing business people together to talk, network and find new opportunities in the market place.  Redefining the business events space and positioning it for greater value is Montgomery’s goal in the next ten years..

Securex West Africa 2015 will be supported by a high profile seminar programme discussing existing counter terrorism policies, understanding new domain threats, cyber security, training security forces, strategic approaches to emerging threats, accessing gaps in existing commercial and homeland security infrastructure, implementing effective resilience measures to mitigate potential crisis and more.

For 2014 Securex West Africa there were 2000 visitors in attendance and 71 per cent of these visitors were at the event to seek new products.

The value of the Nigeria’s security market is estimated to worth over $3.5 billion US dollars as at 2014, and forecasts reveal that the industry would grow by 14 per cent in 2015.

Securex West Africa is supported and endorsed by reputable industrial and professional bodies like:  International Professional Security Association (IPSA), Lagos State Security Trust Fund, UK Trade and Investment Nigeria (UKTI), Occupational Safety & Health Association (OSHA), Nigerian Institute for Industrial Security (NIIS),  Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON), International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS), Society of Security Practitioners of Nigeria (SSPN), and the World Trade Centre.
