VConnect, Truecaller partner to deepen business prospects for SMEs

As part of its effort to deepen business prospects for Small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) Vconnect, Nigeria’s leading business engagement platform, has partnered with Truecaller, one of the leading communication apps in the world to launch Truecaller Priority.

The truecaller priority feature will improve efficiency in connecting consumers with the right local businesses as well as increase call pickup rates and limit chances of missed opportunities for local SMEs.

Many users searching for businesses on VConnect.com, call the numbers mentioned in their profile. Many a times, to deliver better connection to businesses, these calls are routed through Vconnect intermediate number, which usually appears on the businesses’ phone screen. These numbers will now be marked as ‘Priority’ in the Truecaller app, alerting businesses of incoming enquiries from prospective customers.

Arun Krishnan, Director, Strategic Partnerships at Truecaller said, “Enhancing communication experience is critical for businesses which add to the daily efficiency. Both clients and consumers will immensely benefit from this partnership as it enables greater trust and convenience. We’re excited to be adding high value and helping Vconnect stay ahead in a competitive market.

Calls placed are clearly marked as ‘Vconnect Services’ and colour coded in purple. This will assure the recipient that the call is not a spam, but from a genuine customer trying to reach the business through VConnect.

Naveen Luthra, head of growth and monetisation at VConnect, said: “We value the association with Truecaller, as this solution provides better connection between an active business and a ready customer. Since the implementation of this service, we have observed a 22 percent increase in the call connection rates, as it brings more trust and assurance for the businesses to receive the call.”
