Adron Homes and Properties Limited, a frontline real estate development company, has launched a new home ownership plan for ordinary Nigerians who want to be landlords in the New Year.

The company says it is its desire to ensure that the dearth of housing amongst ordinary Nigerians is reduced to a reasonable level, explaining that it is the reason for its decision to launch the new home ownership plan tagged ‘Who Wants to be a Landlord?’.

At the third edition of its annual end of the year Christmas Carol and Award Night in Lagos recently Adetola Emmanuel-King, the company’s CEO, explained further that the plan was aimed at ensuring that low-income Nigerians who did not have the means to pay cash to buy a plot of land or house could get onto the property ladder.

“This simply involves buying a ticket for as low as N1,000 and with that the buyer stands a chance to win a plot of land worth over N500, 000:00 and N1, 000,000:00”, the CEO said, adding, “we intend to run a transparent raffle draw every month to pick winners from a pool of people who subscribe to the housing plan. The ticket will soon be available in shopping malls, eateries and selected public places”, he assured.

To effectively pass the message across to its target audience, two veteran Nollywood actors have been engaged as Brand Ambassadors by the company and these are Adewale Elesho, popularly known as Baba Elesho and Toyin Afolayan also known as Lola Idije. These ambassadors, the company said, were to appear and speak on TV and Radio commercials in the New Year to sensitize would-be low-income landlords.

Adewale Elesho disclosed that he had been in partnership with Adron Homes and Properties for over two years, explaining that he was happy to be a part of this first-of-its-kind idea. “I have worked with Adron Homes now for over two years and I am happy that our efforts have produced a reasonable number of home owners within the period. This new idea can only make things better and I am ready to give it my all”, he says.

Meanwhile, Funke Shobowale, the company’s Managing Director, said the company was working on increasing its land bank in Lagos and Ogun states to create more opportunities for prospective landlords to own their homes.
