At Metro City Estate, homes offer sustainable value in secure environment
Consistent with the mandate and determination of its promoters to build sustainable value in choice locations in major cities of Nigeria including Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt, Metro City Estate, a new haven in Abuja, is offering value and quality on homes built in secure and comfortable environment.
Located in Apo-Wuse, easily Abuja’s most alluring and upscale neighbourhood, Metro City is a 225-unit estate comprising five-bedroom detached, four-bedroom semi-detached, and four-bedroom terrace houses, plus three-bedroom bungalows and 2- and 3-bedroom flats.
A joint venture estate between UACN Property Development Company (UPDC) plc and African Capital Finance (ACA), the estate is wholly residential and stretches about 11.3 hectares of land.
During a facility tour of the estate recently, Brian Greenaway, UPDC’s director, technical operations, remarked that Metro City was not just a property but a high quality standard estate one would struggle to find anywhere in Abuja.
“We have built this estate with a sense of high quality comparable with international standard. When customers buy our structure, they know that they are buying structures built to last. We offer pre-sale and after-sale services to ensure that the premium standards are maintained for residents of the estate,” he assured.
Titilayo Gbadamosi, the company’s general manager, sales and marketing, agreed, adding that UPDC does not just build houses, but also builds environments that are safe, secure and comfortable.
“Metro City Estate has a good accessibility within the Abuja metropolis and boasts of amenities that include swimming pool, children’s playground and a shopping centre provided for the residents of the estate,” she said.
Work on the estate has reached advanced state with buildings in phase one 100 percent completed, just as the infrastructure is also 100 percent completed. The total length of internal roads in the estate is 2,287.3 metres, equivalent to 2.2 kilometres. Access roads which are under construction are 1.7 kilometres, while the length of internal reinforced concrete drains is approximately 4.4 kilometres.
To ensure uninterrupted water supply, overhead and underground tanks with total capacities of 376,000 litres and 432,000 litres, respectively, have been provided with water treatment plant capable of treating 48,000 litres.
There is also a sewage treatment plant of about 216 cubic metres, while the estate parades a total of 180 streetlights which will provide illumination to every nook and cranny in the estate and also enhance security surveillance.
Other facilities in the estate include pool bar, ample parking space for residents and visitors, seven industrial boreholes, central alarm system, fire alarm system, among others.
When UPDC says it is the market leader as far as real estate in Nigeria is concerned, it is not just claiming, but actually demonstrating it.
This is a property development company that stands out not just because of the number of houses it puts on the market on regular basis, but more importantly for its capacity and consistency in delivering projects in time and on budget.
