Banex Hotel offers alternative to landlords with short-let facility

For tourists or business travelers interested in living in comfortable apartments for a period of six months or more, there is now a viable alternative to Lagos landlords as Banex Hotel and Suites, a new brand in Nigeria’s hospitality business, has entered the housing market with short-let apartments.

The apartments offer built-to-pack-in accommodation for the intending occupants, who do not need to invest in household property as all the apartments were already equipped with internationally accepted standard furniture and electronics for the delight of any occupant.

Located in the heart of Anthony Village in Maryland, Lagos, Banex Hotel’s short-let apartments comprise 3-bedroom and sitting room; 2-bedroom and sitting room; 1-bedroom and sitting room apartment with comfortable sit-out for the relaxation of the occupants.  The short-let period could be for six months, one year or as the occupant desires.

One of the major advantages of the location is that it gives the occupant easy access to Apapa, Ikeja, traffic free 15 minutes drive to local and international airport as well as easy access to Lagos main arteries  which include Victoria Island and Ikoyi.

Apart from the short-let accommodation, Banex also offers four-star hotel facilities to tourist, business travelers and pleasure seekers, who want to experience a home away from home. The hotel has 60 distinctive guest rooms of different standards and eight service apartments designed to meet the need of every guest from all parts of world, and rooms have complimentary breakfast attached.

The short-let facility offers 24-hour automated power back-up; laundry services; swimming pool; indoor sport games; gymnasium and spa; cable television with satellite channels and 24-hour broadband internet services.

“Banex Hotel and Suites is a new entrant into Nigeria’s hospitality business and we are poised to make huge impact in the industry with our modern structure and state-of-the-art facilities. Our objective is to place high premium on service delivery, which is one of the unique and outstanding elements of hospitality industry,” Victor Mbanisi, chairman of Banex Group Limited, said at a press conference in Lagos.

According to him, the newly opened hotel, which was commissioned by Emeka Nwogu, minister of Labour and Productivity, also offers customers conference halls, wedding and party reception halls and meeting spaces. The hotel and its short-let facility, he said, offer both safe and secured stay to the occupants due to its nearness to Anthony Police Station.

“Our plan is to make a mark in the hospitality industry by delivering accommodation of international standards with affordable price offering. This is why we are planning two in Abuja; one in Ghana; four in Lagos and one in Port Harcourt. We also intend to go into franchising of Banex Hotel brand just like any other international brand in the market,” the Banex boss added.

Also speaking, Svetlana Alexandronvna, general manager of the Hotel, noted that the management believed in rendering quality services to the customers, saying that the hotel has executive apartment with kitchen facilities that enable visitors to prepare their foods as desired.

“In Banex Hotel, we do things uniquely because we want to leave our footprint in Nigeria’s hospitality industry and to build a globally acceptable brand. The hotel, which currently has staff strength of 82 employees, also wants to create employment for Nigerian youths,” she explained.
