Blueprint Real Estate Conference holds in Lagos
The Blueprint Real Estate Conference, an intensive one-day programme on opportunities in real estate investments within the Lagos New Emerging Cities, with new insights for first time home buyers and experienced investors, is scheduled to hold on 31 January, 2018, at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The conference with the theme; Succeeding in Property Markets: Strategic Positioning within New Emerging Cities, is designed to be an empowerment and futuristic session and will see participants presented with in-depth knowledge, ultimately ensuring they leave equipped with information, knowledge and tools that aid in the process of owning their own home either through purchasing options or building from start to finish.
Participants of the conference are also expected to come away with clarity on how to make better and smarter property investment decisions. The conference will also feature panel discussions where critical issues regarding the Nigerian Real Estate industry will be discussed, with valuable insights shared with first-time and experienced investors. The panel will feature speakers drawn from government, finance, mortgage and insurance, addressing challenges relevant to the property investment scene.
The convener of the conference, Mrs. Mojisola Afolayan, said: “The conference aims to provide answers to a broad range of questions ranging from what type of investment in real estate is obtainable, when to invest, where to invest, how to safely invest and who to deal with. The conference will also provide insight into the economic and social performance amongst Lagos’ new emerging cities, including tips on investing in real estate especially for first time investors.”
A major highlight of the conference will be an address by the keynote speaker, Chief Kola Akomolede, a former National Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers who also worked with Tope Oloyede & Co. from 1979 to 1986 before moving to the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) as a Chief Estate Surveyor and Head of the Estate Department. Chief Akomolede later rose to become the Deputy General Manager (Estates) before retiring in 1999 to establish his own practice under the name Kola Akomolede & Co.
Chief Akomolede is also a fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and a member of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI). He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
