Inagbe Grand Resort broaches new proposition in leisure facility

For fun-seekers and holiday makers, Inagbe Grand Resorts and Leisure beckons with strong  proposition in a leisure facility nestled on an enchanting island offering a  picturesque landscape and panoramic views of the Lagos Lagoon and Atlantic Ocean.

The island resort is a new destination where corporate clients, young executives and sundry leisure lovers can go as an escape from the hustle and bustle of metropolitan Lagos to have a feel of cool sea breeze and the arresting touch of its natural ambience.

According to its promoters, a visit to Inagbe Grand Resorts is a rare opportunity to return to, and commune with Nature either through the rustic voice of the sea waves or the natural facilities that welcomes visitors in the cozy apartments that the facility offers.

Inagbe Grand Resorts is developed and promoted by Gran Imperio Resorts Limited, a subsidiary of Gran Imperio Group, in partnership with the Esinmikan Royal Family—the native land owners with strong history, culture and heritage.

The resorts, according to Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Gran Imperio Group’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, is a home away from the hustle and bustle of city life, adding that the resorts is a place to be amidst pure natural elements, tranquil and resonating air of simple luxury.

Conducting journalists round the facility which resonates, at every corner, Nigeria’s rich culture and local craftsmanship, Ogunwusi explained that beyond providing a home away from home, the resorts is also his company’s bold statement that good things could come out of Nigeria.

“We want to prove that good things can come out of Nigeria. We want to showcase national pride. Everything we have here are from Nigeria and, interestingly, this project started just last year and here we are, not just providing opportunity for leisure and relaxation, but also creating jobs for young Nigerians”, he said.

It is really amazing what this company has been able to do in promoting local content through this facility which sits on 300 hectares of land surrounded by the alluring Atlantic Ocean and the ever smiling, sky-blue Lagos Lagoon.

“What we met here was a jungle; nobody was living here because the natives had migrated to Lagos, but now they are coming back because we are providing jobs for them. Unlike the locals who did not  believe in us, a lot of foreigners have come here and could not believe that this kind of thing could be done in Nigeria”, Ogunwusi enthused.

The resorts, which is fully functional with over 300 workers providing top-o- the-range services, is developed in phases. So far, the first phase which would be completed early next year already has in place 125-room chalets, 1,500-seater multi-purpose hall, an executive lounge near the lagoon, Essential Homes furniture factory, indoor sports hall comprising table  tennis, long tennis court, snooker, squash and badminton.

It also parades a showroom to showcase their furniture products, a pool by the ocean etc, and from the minutest to the largest, simplest to the most sophisticated material used in all of these, the company sourced them locally from different parts of Nigeria.

The resort, also referred to as Nigeria’s First Underwater Lounge, is just 15 minutes boat ride from Victoria Island, Banana Island and old Ikoyi which are the prime commercial and residential areas in Lagos. It is just a few meters from Ilashe and Snake Island, other island communities in Lagos.

“We are set to become the most popular resort and tourist center in West Africa, providing recreational facilities, beach clubs, boat clubs, themed park, 40,000 square meter Lagoon front relaxation area, sports village, conference centers etc. to make it a defining feature of Lagos”, Ogunwusi assured.

Also on parade at the resort are a five star hotel service; 650km floating platform for social outdoor activities; 18 holes golf course; chalet rooms with Jacuzzi;  beach buggers for racing and others; paint ball shooting; common living room for guests with spacious area; swimming pools; productive machines to sustain the luxury need of guests, and boardrooms for official meetings.
