Quality professional business service earns AMFacilities recognition, awards

For its high quality professional business service and safety delivery, Alpha Mead Facilities Management and Services Limited (AMFacilities) has been recognized with awards in different categories by different international award-giving bodies.

Recently, a publication on Sub-Saharan Enterprise Awards announced the company winner of the Best  for High Quality Professional Business Service award which is designed to distinguish firms and individuals that record outstanding results within their industries.

Over the years, AMFacilities, a leading African facilities management (FM) company with operations in Nigeria, Dubai, South Africa, Ghana, Senegal and Cameroun, has distinguished itself as the FM industry  leader  and this award speaks to the company’s outstanding achievements in the industry.

Founded in 2007 with  over 600 staff worldwide and  a fast-growing international platform, including a network of offices in Africa, and the Middle East, the company’s  clients range from international corporates and institutional investors to private individuals and families.

It provides a wide range of services to local and international investors in facilities management, real estate development and advisory, security systems and technologies, training, healthcare management services and real estate investment services.

The company prides itself as the trusted market leader in Nigeria where it has grown its presence and established a strong track record over the last 10 years, and so, the torrent of awards into its kitty is not much of a surprised as contained in its reaction to the recent award by the SSA Publication.

“This is a well-deserved award which we are convinced is merited given the amount of time, financial and very high quality human resources that we have deployed to take charge of this aspect of our business,”  said Femi Akintunde, Group Managing Director, Alpha Mead Group.

“Our business and technical operations are built on a strong platform of what we call the ‘3Ps’, standing for our People, Process and Place. This significantly defines our mission which is predicated on engaging the right people, customers, suppliers and even the communities where we operate to use the right process and standards to ensure that all activities are sustainable, comfortable, safe and deliver good results in the places where our customers live, work and play, and this is what MEA has rewarded for us,”  Akintunde added.

Jonathan Hicks, Awards Coordinator, commended the success of the deserving and dedicated winners, saying, “working in this vibrant and exciting region offers many challenges and opportunities. Therefore, it is my pleasure to congratulate Alpha Mead Facilities and wish them the best as they look ahead.”

Earlier, the company had won an achievement award for Outstanding Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment given by the Nigeria Safety Award for Excellence. The award is in recognition of the company’s  efforts at always maintaining a secure work environment that ensures the health and safety of everyone who plays a part in its operations and use its service.

The 9jaSAFE Awards is one of Nigeria’s most prestigious and respected award for Safety Professionals/ Practitioners and organizations across the country. It aims to recognize outstanding performances and laudable initiatives of companies and individuals, to foster and promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) best practices in the workplace and in the country at large.

This objective, Akintunde said, is apt given the level of awareness on HSE in most organizations. “It is quite unfortunate that some people still assume that safety is expensive, when in reality the cost of an accident or fatality far exceeds the initial cost of preventing same,” he added.

He explained that as a health and safety-conscious organization, the firm has in its 10 years of operations implemented strategies that ensure strict compliance to its HSE policy, which is periodically reviewed to suit the dynamic nature of the business environment.

The 9jaSAFE award is endorsed by Lagos State Safety Commission, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON), World Safety Organization (WSO), American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), Society for Occupational and Environmental Health Physicians of Nigeria (SOEHPON), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Fire Protection Association of Nigeria (FPAN).
